“And God Said” | Hearing God’s Voice Through His Word (Part I)

Hello, I’m  Light .  Welcome to— Introduction  Does God speak?  Is God able to speak? The truth is revealed in many and various verses of the Word of God. In this post, we take a look at the first phrase in the Word of God that explicitly reveals that God speaks; “And God said . . .” “And God Said…” “And God said, “Let there be light”;  and there was light.”   —Genesis 1:3 ESV Have you ever read the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible?   It is a beautiful and iconic story; the Story of Creation. One of the most repeated phrases in the story is, “ And  God said…”  Say (v): 1 utter words, so as to convey information, and opinion, a feeling, or intention, or an instruction. Synonym: speak , utter, voice, pronounce. A synonym for “to say” is “to speak”. God has the ability to speak in the way most commonly thought of when one hears the word “speak”.
