Do You Have Questions? (A Balance Between Conversation and Theology)

Hi, I'm Light.

I have a question for you:

Do you have questions?

Do you desire to find answers?

Do you believe in God?

Okay, I know that was three questions instead of one, and I have good/bad news . . . I have more!

You may not have the answer to any of these preliminary questions right now, and that is okay.  It is okay not to have all the answers.  Whether or not you do, I have a suggestion for you in this post.  Keep reading, okay?

Here are more questions you may or may not have answers for.  I don't have all the answers to all the questions either, so we'll reason together:

Is God really all-knowing?

“Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings,
and He knows everything.
1 John 3:20

Does God always tell the Truth?

“God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind.
Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?”
Numbers 23:19

Is God the Truth?

“Jesus told him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
No one can come to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6

Is God also His Word?

“In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
— John 1:1

(I figured this may be a bit confusing, so I made a summary of all the questions I just asked and their answers:)

QuestionsAnswersBible Verse
Is God really all-knowing? Yes.1 John 3:20
Does God always tell the Truth?Yes.Numbers 23:19
Is God the Truth?Yes.John 14:6
Is God also His Word, personified?Yes.John 1:1
Bonus: God's Word is Truth and knows everything, right?Absolutely!All of the above

So . . .

God is all-knowing;
God always tells the Truth;
God is the Truth;
God is also His Word;
His Word is Truth; it knows everything.

And, in e-qua-tion . . .

Truth = God = God's Word
Truth = God's Word

(I duly apologize; I do not mean to take you back to high school Math and/or Chemistry, haha.  I reason and understand best using pictures and diagrams.)

Did you know the answers to these questions?  Did you notice that the Word of God, gave us answers for our questions?  It's so accessible!  How did you feel when the scriptures responded to your questions with answers, or confirmed what you already knew?

Do you want to know what I learned from our conversation today?  You don't have to have all the answers, and the best way to get them is asking questions!  Here's my suggestion (finally):  If you ever find yourself desiring answers, write your questions, and take a five-minute or five-hour dive into the depth of Truth, God's all-knowing Word.  Tip: Asking Him in prayer also works.  After all, He knows everything, right?
