“The People of Light” (II) | Light and Darkness
Recap:
Yahweh, the God of Israel, is the “Light” the People of Light follow— the Light of the World. His radiant presence expels darkness in the mind, heart, and home. Sadly, for various reasons, the God of Israel is widely misunderstood, even among His own people.
Myths about God's nature are widespread and diverse. Normally, they are gradually cleared in relationship with Him. Though misperceived as prideful, resentful, uncaring, oppressive, silent, impatient and stern, He is humble, blameless, understanding, joyful, can be spoken to transparently, responsive, pure in heart, a true “friend”, liberator, giver of peace and rest, and One who dispels and hates hate. Oftentimes, His nature completely contradicts what we human beings think of Him, and His desires contradict what we think they are.
“Render your heart, not your garments.”
Nonetheless and fortunately, God remains who He is, unlimited by limited human understanding.
Upon opening the heart to Him, a person is overwhelmed by His warmth, tenderness, understanding, humility, patience, joy, gentleness, kindness, grace, generosity, and unconditional, passionate, trustworthy, unending love. In knowing His heart toward you and learning the truth about Him, reciprocating Love in the form of daily praise and worship is a natural response.
When attributed to God, concepts that seem incomprehensible begin to become explainable, logical and simple. With faith, one gradually grasps with clarity the reality of God's existence as a speaking, willing, and perfect being. By faith, one gives Him, an individual respective of free will, permission to personally accomplish the impossible in his or her life. On the basis of experience, the People of Light profess that anyone who acknowledges and loves God receives the fullness of His goodness.
“...in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
Conclusively, the radiance among the People of Light can be accredited to its source, the God of Israel. From Him come internally-stored soulical treasures that are untarnished by the wiles of the times. In relationship with Him is found an unlimited, abundant life.
