The Definition of Purpose (Part II)

Image
Introduction What is purpose?  What does “purpose fulfilment” mean?  Hi!  I'm 'Light', and welcome to Light Writes.  In this, Part II of the “The Definition of Purpose” series, I’ll be continuing to focus specifically on defining purpose from the perspective that God is Love.  Before we get into the content, let's pray. Prayer Father, Thank You for Your eternal love. Open my eyes that I may see You and myself rightly. Give me deeper understanding of why You made me. Pour into my heart  through this post, by Your Spirit. Thank You in advance. In Your name I pray, Amen. The Definition of Purpose “. . . and to love.” “for through him  God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth . He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.  Everything was created through Him and for Him .” —  Colossians 1:16 "Then God said, “ Let Us make mankind in Our image, in...

Meditation | Sentences

Photo by Jordan Wozniak on Unsplash Introduction Hi!  I'm Light.  Welcome to “Light Writes”!  This post is a recollection of the main points I collected on the topic “Meditation” whilst sitting in a church service.  Lists of written points always present a simple yet comprehensible summary to me; each sentence is always outstandingly profound.  As I am an information collector, reservoir builder and disseminator, I decided to post this list of points in the hopes that it would help you.   Remember to meditate on them! Points on Meditation We were designed to learn by way of revelation from God's Word rather than information.  Revelation comes by meditation and causes saturation.  “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —   John 8:32 The truth sets you free. If you are in bondage in any way, simply meditate on the Truth and allow the Truth to set you free. 🕊 Speak.  Speak Truth, that you may believe it....

Do You Have Questions? (A Balance Between Conversation and Theology)

Image
Hi, I'm Light. I have a question for you:  Do you have questions?  Do you desire to find answers? Do you believe in God?  Okay, I know that was three questions instead of one, and I have good/bad news . . . I have more! You may not have the answer to any  of these preliminary questions right now, and that is okay.  It is okay not to have all the answers.   Whether or not you do, I have a suggestion for you in this post.  Keep reading, okay?   Here are more questions you may or may not have answers for.  I don't have all the answers to all the questions either, so we'll reason together: Is God really all-knowing? “Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and He knows everything. ” — 1 John 3:20 Does God always tell the Truth? “God is not man, that He should lie , or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?” — Numbers 23:19 Is God the...

'An Apology' (A Poem)

Image
To Worthy, Blameless, Pure, Holy, Hated by a misunderstanding humanity Whom You love; For all the times I blamed You Due to my unbelief in Your purity, For all the times I expressed anger at You For abandoning me; Though You never will, For thrashing against Your outstretched arm, Blind to the significance Of the wait in Your eyes; The eyes of the good One Who withholds no good thing, For expressing disappointment in You, Saying, “Why aren't You here?” Though You are, And will always be, For accusing You of being d  i  s  t  a  n  t, Though You await to be sought, Arms open eternally, For imagining You in hatred's cloak On my own accord, Then accusing You of crimes You are unable to commit, Responding to vain imaginations as though You could ever be anyone but Yourself,   Pure in Spirit, For deeming You unholy When I misperceive Your rebuke As hatred rather than counsel, For having a short fuse toward You, Though You are Healer, Giving You stripes...
